As the days get longer – and warmer – now is the perfect opportunity to share some inspiration for activities that can benefit the health of your mind, body, and soul. Whether this looks like Sunday meal prep for the week ahead, a sunrise swim, or just some quality me-time, here are some of our favourite wellbeing-boosting activities from the team at Nutrient Rescue HQ!
“A walk in nature walks the soul back home.” – Mary Davis
Rebecca: “Nature is my ultimate go-to for wellbeing! I love going for walks, breathing in fresh air, and the social aspect it can bring. My usual spot is anywhere in the Port Hills, but the most memorable was definitely when I went on an overnight tramp along the Routeburn Track in Fiordland National Park.”
Debbie "Any opportunity to connect with nature, but I particularly enjoy getting out in my garden. I get to escape into a world of green and goodness, and it is just so peaceful.”
“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” – Jim Rohn
Andrew: “I make sure I am always staying active - either in my garden, having a few sets of tennis, or just on my daily walks.”
Luke: “I find going for walks around hills a great option for me! I get in some physical activity, a bit of fresh air, and I also get to capture some pretty breath taking views.”
“The first and best victory is to conquer self.” – Plato
Kaitlyn: “A daily habit of mine is journaling, there is something really peaceful about getting the mess out of your mind and onto a page!”
Leanne: "Mindfulness and stretching! They help me take a breather, unwind, and keep my body feeling relaxed.”
Maddie: "Setting aside some quality me-time to whip up a meal is my ultimate self-care. I love the process of mindful cooking, flipping through a cookbook, and picking out some fresh produce!”
"I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself."– Maya Angelou
Ella R: "I really enjoy trying new things, whether that is rock climbing or an escape room. In saying that, I am always up for a simple cafe visit for a cheeky Iced Matcha on a sunny day!”
Tali: "I love getting to go away with friends – making new memories will never fail to put a smile on my face, and it's nice to reconnect and reset."
Ella GM: "My cup is filled with anything creative (plus good food and good company). Painting nights, a picnic with a good love getting to go away with friends – making new memories will never fail to put a smile on my face, and it's nice to reconnect and reset."
Xavier: "Painting is something that I find isn't just a hobby, but it also allows me to express myself and find a sense of calm within a world of creativity!"
